Dan Allaston is participating in the 2016 Dream Mountains Machu Picchu trek, in support of Ride for Dad.
I am the owner of New Moon Tattoo in Ottawa. I have been a tattoo artist for more than 33 years.
This is my second climb with the dream team, the first being an attempt at Everest base camp that was derailed by the earthquake in Nepal. But the experience with our team, the training, the new friendships, all made it so that, there was no way I could pass up the opportunity to climb again with Shawn Dawson to raise money for the Dream Mountains Foundation.
My charity for this Trek as it was for the last, is The Motorcycle Ride for Dad, and the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation. On several levels this is a perfect fit, I have lost family members to prostate cancer, and I have been motorcycle crazy since getting my first motorcycle at nine years of age.
