Besides “Adventure” being my middle name, I am also very excited to be sharing this awesome experience with my wife Becky. Joining Dream Mountains 2015 Everest Trek we are fundraising for Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat for Humanity is both a local and worldwide not for profit organization whose mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to break the cycle of poverty in Canada and around the world. We are paying our owe way for the trip to Everest and through Dream Mountains we are supporting and informing people about Habitat for Humanity.
A fellow City of Brockville Councillor, Leigh Bursey, who has fought for affordable Housing for years has taught me the many benefits of Habitat for Humanity. The community benefits are very surprising and they need to be shared so all can see the advantages. This exposure will hopefully be a help in many ways to our community and the people who need this starting chance.
