Jeremy Post is participating in the 2017 Dream Mountains Kilimanjaro climb, in support of the Ottawa Senators Foundation.
Dream Mountains Foundation is an amazing organization helping me bring my passion to fruition, while bringing awareness and support to 7 incredible charities. In the spring of 2017 I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa because peak bagging has always been a passion of mine; so, when the opportunity to bag one of the seven summits presented itself, I, of course, had to join the team.
From a young age my father always encouraged sports and the enjoyment of the outdoors. Every year my brothers and I were enrolled in community soccer leagues, swimming lessons, and my favourite, family canoe trips to northern Ontario. Some of my greatest friendships and fondest memories were formed through the enjoyment of these activities. This is why I decided to support The Ottawa Senator’s Foundation and their continued efforts to promote physical and mental wellness in today’s youth.
Please give generously, and support the Ottawa Senator’s Foundation to ensure that kids are given the opportunity to be active, engaged and to feel good about themselves.
Climbers will often speak of the confidence and determination gained from their efforts, the thrill of making a summit, the camaraderie born of team effort and shared experience amongst those who accept the challenge. Climbers often talk of the exhilaration that comes as a result of the mountain environment – a spiritual experience that can often only be felt and rarely adequately described.
