Stephanie Karlovits is participating in the 2016 Dream Mountains Machu Picchu trek, in support of CARE Canada.
This will be my 2nd climb with the Dream Mountains team. Climbing Kilimanjaro in 2014 and raising over $5,400 for the Children’s Breakfast program was nothing less than a life-changer. Not only did it spark an unlikely love for hiking in the winter, but it also brought such life and happiness into my world and the world of my friends, family and my company by association.
My trip up Machu Picchu will be in support of CARE Canada which focuses on giving women and girls access to freedom and confidence through the means of education. Focused efforts on women in countries of poverty are shown to increase the earning potential, health and vitality of themselves and their entire family. This of course trickles down to entire communities and helps support nations in need. I am honoured to raise funds and to immerse myself into CARE Canada’s efforts. I intend on supporting them and raising at least $5,000 for their organization.
I am extremely proud to be an active member of the Dream Mountains foundation and am honoured to call many of the other team members here part of my family. Please help me in assisting hundreds of women and children all over the world gain physical and mental strength through the power of education. Also, please support me in climbing 27 miles and 13,000 feet up the Inca Trail!
