Wendy Hillier is participating in the 2016 Dream Mountains Machu Picchu trek, in support of Habitat for Humanity.
I’m Wendy Hillier. As a real estate agent I’m aware of the need for affordable housing. When I was asked to be on a requisition committee for Habitat for Humanity I was excited. After receiving an email from Habitat for Humanity saying, “is Machu Picchu on your bucket list?” I said to myself NO it’s not on my bucket list. Then the next line was, “Are you ready to test your limit and support a great cause along the way?” Now that was a big YES for me! After speaking with Shawn Dawson the founder of Dream Mountain Foundation, I knew I had to be a part of this team who were going to raise funds for charities in our communities… something that would challenge me and at the same time help others.
